Hey there! I’m Kelly West. I have spent my life loving East Tennessee. When I decided to get my real estate license 10 years ago, I had no idea how much this career move would change my life. I am married to my best friend, Donnie. Together we have 3 amazing children. Maci just graduated from East Tennessee State University in December, Emma is in her second year at The University of Tennessee and Cannon (our pride and joy 🙂 is in the 4th grade.
Our family are members of Grace Point Fellowship Church in Kingsport where I sing with the worship team and Donnie and I both volunteer wherever needed. We love supporting our local sports and have spent many years coaching our kids’ teams from Elizabethton to Kingsport and know the importance of pouring into the community. East Tennessee, our home, is extremely special to us.
The doors and opportunities that have opened up for me since I became a REALTOR have taken me to places I have never been, introduced me to people I am now blessed to know, and given me more value in my life than I ever imagined. I thank God daily for allowing me to do something I love so much and I ask Him to lead me every step of the way.
One of those people that I met through real estate is Holly Humphrey, my best friend and now business partner. Holly and I organically grew our friendship to a team, The Home Town Group. The best part about this team is that it also includes my two daughters. Maci has been a REALTOR for over two years and is killing it! Emma got her license last year and has been such a great asset helping us grow into the Knoxville area and runs all of our team’s social media. Cierra Mikaelsen is our fifth team member and is in her second year. She recently became licensed in Virginia and is proven to be a hustler agent!
In the first few years of this career I was given such great guidance and encouragement to step into leadership. I was shown how to do real estate the right way and how to pay it forward to the next generation. Obviously this came easy with my own girls, but I have really enjoyed mentoring, coaching and training new agents as they grow in this business. Owning my own agency naturally became a dream of mine.
Holly and I, along with our friends and business partners, Casey and Heather Halsey, purchased Summit Properties in June of 2023. Our focus has simply been to be able to do real estate the right way and pour into the agents that choose to join us. In just a few short months we had 25 agents do just that. Now every day I get to work alongside my friends, people I consider my family. People choose to work with me, choose me to help them through some of the biggest decisions of their lives. It’s the most humbling thing to get that call. And I am forever grateful.
